Here are the most common causes for carburetor flooding with the installation of a new fuel pump.
- You might have a blown fuse. Solution - Replace the fuse.
- You might have a worn needle and seat assembly in the carburetor. Solution - Replace the needle and seat assembly.
- The wrong automotive pump model can create too much pressure. Solution - Check with your auto dealer to confirm how much pressure your carburetor will hold.
